ABOUT THE EVENT
A little about Addi Road:
Working with the community, Addi Road elevate human rights, arts & culture and sustainability.
Bring your workplace together to help revitalise and maintain Addi Road’s shared gardens, grounds and facilities. Plant native flora, contribute to soil health/composting, and improve the appearance of common spaces via painting (walls, fences, furniture... perhaps murals). The goal is to strengthen community ties, support environmental sustainability, and keep Addi Road a welcoming, cared-for space for all.
What to expect:
Location: Addison Road Community Organisation, Marrickville
Time: Thursday mornings, 9am to 12 noon (fortnightly sessions)
Session highlights:
Introduction: Begin at 9am with an insightful overview of Addi Road's impact and dreams for the future.
Volunteer tasks: Landscape gardening: planting native plants/flowers, tending community garden or rain-garden, composting, soil regeneration, weeding, mulching.
Painting & maintenance: painting walls, fences, furniture, shelving, or community-space…
