ABOUT THE EVENT
Come and try out Australian sports and meet new people at this free event for anyone who has recently moved to Australia. This event is specifically aimed at international students and multicultural communities.
Qualified sports professionals will teach you the basic skills of our much-loved sports such as AFL, basketball, cricket, hockey, netball, rugby league, soccer and volleyball.
You’ll get the chance to learn about the history and rules of mainstream sports and their place in Australian culture. Also find out about local community sporting clubs, volunteering and work experience.
This is a great opportunity to get active, make new connections and build your teamwork and communication skills within a safe community.
The program is ideal for international students, newly-arrived migrants, refugees and people seeking asylum. You must be 18 years and over to participate.
