ABOUT THE EVENT
A Grateful Son tells the story of the life and career of the former treasurer of Australia and deputy leader of the Liberal Party.
Tracing his family’s arrival in Australia from war-torn Europe, Frydenberg recounts his pre-political life, including trying to make it on the tennis circuit, studying at Oxford and Harvard and working for John Howard and Alexander Downer, before serving for 12 years in the Parliament, a time which included being responsible for Australia’s economic response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In this special book launch, hear Frydenberg’s account of the formative moments and defining decisions of his career and the family values that drive him. In conversation with Leigh Sales.
