The UTS Democracy Forum is proudly presented by The Ultimo Institute .
For more than four decades, neoliberalism has shaped economies, governments and public life across the world. But as rising inequality, political instability, housing pressures and shifting global power challenge long-held assumptions about markets and the role of the state, many are asking whether that era is coming to an end.
Join Paul Mellon Professor of American History Emeritus at the University of Cambridge, Gary Gerstle, for a public lecture examining the economic and political implications of the end of the neoliberal order and the systems emerging in its place. Drawing on his latest research, Gerstle will explore the forces reshaping global economies and what they may mean for democracy, institutions and everyday life.
